Dan Puplett

Dan is a naturalist, conservationist and nature connection mentor. He has had a passion for the natural world from an early age and worked for Trees for Life for over 11 years, where his many roles included leading over 80 residential conservation weeks and training conservation leaders. He is a certified wildlife tracker, a bushcraft instructor and Forest School Leader, and is the author of the FSC Guide to British Bird Tracks and Signs. He has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Studies and an MSc in Environmental Forestry. Dan is an Associate Tutor for the Field Studies Council and an instructor for both the Kamana Naturalist Training Programme and the Aigas Ranger Training Scheme. He has staffed a number of Art of Mentoring courses with nature connection pioneer Jon Young, and is trained in the 8 Shields approach to mentoring. He has also assisted in leading wolf and lynx tracking surveys in Slovakia and has been involved with many other conservation projects. Dan teaches a range of naturalist skills including tracking, bird language, foraging and astronomy to people of all ages.
